Surprise!

So this morning I turn on my TV which I rarely do…but I was looking to see what was happening today for the NCAA Final Four and look what I find? I almost forgot I did this. It’s been a slow rise back after a year of recovery but I am clawing my way back. Hope you all enjoy this little movie.

Asian Cup Previs and Bloopers

Hey Everyone…I hope you all had a great holiday and a fab New Years! Well I know I haven’t posted in a while but here is a little fun video I made. It was a loose previs of the action that Reel Kick did for the Asian Cup commercial we shot in Marrakech, Morocco. I also added a little blooper reel of Alex in the flying harness…enjoy!

Vblog 14 Week 3: Go-Karting

So on our weekends off I tried to get around the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Bobby T, famous stuntman from Orlando took us to a go-kart track called Eco-Karts. These were some of the fastest rental karts around. Little did I know that both Bobby T and Craig Baxley (Stunts Unlimited stunt driver who coincidentally jumped the “General Lee” in Dukes of Hazards) also race shift karts.
However there was a tropical storm the day before and it made all the out-of-bounds areas into a thick swamp! What I didn’t get video of was Baxley running my kart off the track, sending me straight into the muddy drink. By the end of the day Victor Lopez, Craig Baxley and myself all were covered head to toe in ooey-gooey tropical mud.
Good times :)

Film Method Interview about Stunts…

Wow is it March already? How time flies! Hey everyone hope you are all doing great. Just wanted to add a new blog here about a recent podcast interview I did for Film-Method.com with Cindy Freeman. It’s a show for indie film-makers about the business. I was speaking in particular about the world of stunts and stunt coordinating. It is only my point-of-view and not shared by any other stunt players or coordinators. If you are a stunt coordinator it’s pretty basic stuff and probably boring but if you are a new film-maker wanting stunts in your projects or an aspiring stunt-player wanting some insight into the business tune in. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Reign

This was an old Reel Kick Short. It was directed by Sam Hargrave. Samo also came up with the idea of the voice over. It was our first big attempt at a story rather than a fight sampler or fight scene. This was shot in 2005…I think. It was a while ago. Thayr and Sam had a buncha great ideas for shots. Good stuff boys!
